General GED Test Tips
1Calculator Use
You can use a calculator for most of the Math test, but not all. Practice both calculator and non-calculator problems. You'll be provided with a TI-30XS calculator.
2Time Management
Know how much time you have per question on each section. Don't spend too long on one problem — skip difficult ones and come back if time allows.
3Formula Sheet
The Math section includes a reference sheet with common formulas. Learn which formulas are provided so you only memorize what you need.
4Test Day Logistics
Arrive early, bring ID, eat a good breakfast, stay hydrated, and take advantage of breaks between sections. Get good sleep the night before.
